candy coated dreams

everybody has candy coated dreams

where they can lick their delusions

and forget the contusions

life brings forth

daily

me,

i want to own the Candy Factory

and i am licking my ass off

don’t scoff

i want to own the Sugar Fields

and feel like

i ain’t psyching

my self out

and though doubts array

our feeble displays

of living

we are still giving

effort

and we must believe

that is a prerequisite

isn’t it ?

yeah,, i have heard

all those positive

affirming words

like

if i believe

i can achieve

but just when does it come

my friend

and how

they say prayers

are always answered

in God’s own way

does that go to say

that my way

ain’t good enough

they also say

be careful of what you wish for

all i want is

someone to open that door

to that place

where i can come

take a lick

take a taste
