and we listen to your emptiness
screaming
i ask
does a thorn of a rose
validate it’s scent ?
does your sharp
and bitter tongue
sanctify your holier
than thou
or does it cause the flowering
of your soul
to seek
to embrace it’s own
shadows of worthlessness
the lotus opens
for there is light
lips part
offering a darkness
for there is light
what semblance or likeness
possesseth thou ?
your breath
thwarts dragons
for their fire
burns naught like that
of one who seeks to singe
their fellow man’s esteem
you cower in your own delusions
and shoot darts
at those who have dreams
and are aloft
seeking to fly
to higher realms
and any whispers of life
you reject
because you have none
want none
for fear of authenticity
threatens you
and your duplicity
of standards
becomes your eternal character
in your
kaleidoscopic perspectives
i do not pity you
but your scent
is not that of a rose
but you do have thorns
enfolded in your words
and we listen to your emptiness
screaming
