i have suffered
i have been persecuted
i have been whipped
i have been crucified
i have forgave
i have died
and
i have been resurrected
like the Phoenix from the ashes
i have risen again
with a new life
yet you still throw oil
on my fire
and my only desire
was but to love
how many times
will you nail me to your cross ?
is this the price one pays
these days
because they glimpsed
perhaps
the light of Christ
Consciousness ?
how many times
will you nail me to your cross ?
have not i wore that crown
you weaved for me
upon my crown ?
the one with all the Thorns
adorned with the absence of Roses ?
how many times
will you nail me to your cross ?
and what of this Persecutioner’s meal
you feed me
poisoned with misgivings
and non understandings
and again you give me Gall for Water
in hope that it will wash down
and be digested
how many times
will you nail me to your cross ?
with rusty nails
driven through the flesh of my understanding
tempting my spirit
to acquiesce
to the lower
and the “I” in me
being the “Knower” of things
will not forsake me
for He / She / It is you
you see
and “I” and Thee are one
are you done yet ?
how many times
will you nail me to your cross ?
the Cross that alleviates you of conviction
as you deludedly dance in your dark truths
and the youth are now being trained
to pick up your veil
and cover their own light as well
as they assail themselves
upon themselves
maybe never to embrace
their authentic selves again
how many times
will you nail me to your cross ?
For eons i have come
but to offer you a light
that you,
yes you
may navigate your way back home
through the darkness of your own making
as your are forsaking
the way of “I” in me
the “I” in you
within there is a fire that burns
and that is what yearns
for completion
yet deletion
seems to be your objective
but you can not
extinguish that which is eternal
no matter the effort
the doctrine
the teachings
the way you walk
the way you talk
no matter how many times you balk
at what Love has come to say to you
give to you
show you
change you
enlighten you
bless you
test you
to see if you are ready
how many times
will you nail me to your cross ?
you see
i have been here many times before
and the Lock and Hinges
have been removed from the door
of your Heart
and i don’t get it
so i ask you again
my beloved friend
how many times
will you nail me to your cross ?
before you get it ?
