life here . . life now . . .
the Petals of a Flower must be unfolded
that the honey may be extracted
we too must let go of what we hold on
that our greater essence may be exacted
is it fear of the unknown greater self
we have yet to bring to this realm
how does this ship traverse this Sea
if i take not charge of the Helm
they say the journey is the blessings
to some this may be their truth
but for me it is the destination
i have yearned for in my youth
where days of joy seemed endless
and my heart wanted naught but more
and now i spend my time in seeking
to open that holy door
yes the path does have it’s own reward
and i am induced to stop and rest
upon the laurels of past grand deeds
but i’ve yet to pass the test
my youthful dreams are still with me
and the hunger still yet endures
aside this illusory convexment
like a Sea that has no shores
i strive to come to understanding
perhaps that is our eternal lot
to cease to strive against the tides
and embrace just what we got
and make the best of what is
and turn our ways from chance
let thy flower unfold my child
and give thy sweetness to enhance
life here . . life now . . .
