i pray

i pray

there is a beauty in prayer

i can not explain

in giving my heart

i have loosed all my pain

we pray to be heard

by forces greater than us

it is at this time

we understand our trust

our faith has not waned

nor has it gone astray

we just held on

to pray this day

in our hours of need

we send forth requests

and realize our greater

is held in our less

but such a small seed

is planted through prayer

and we humbly submit

that Father does hear

that we are but children

to be nurtured and held

but with the simplest of prayer

God’s power i weld

so for this i am thankful

a Holy life line

direct to the Source

and prayer’s power is mine

i pray !
