somebody needed a word today

so i spoke it

i wrote it

find a good quote

and i note it

and pay it forward

toward

that dream

we all have

for a better life

somebody needed a word today

and i think it might be me

so i listened

and i heard that word

and i glistened

with a joy

and my soul began to dance

cause you my friend

gave me that word

that enhanced

my attitude

and my gratitude

for you

for life

for me

and i thank you

to always remember

that someone out here

needs to hear

a good word today

so speak it
