Deborah Wilson Smart
Is Senior Publishing Consultant with Gladstone Publishing Services which she founded in 1998. Initially, Mrs. Smart focused her activities in the field of children's publishing, and launched her first collaborative effort with DGA, Inc. to publish Dave Goerlitz, former Winston Man's, stories about tobacco cessation, "Before the Smoke Screen".
Since 2002, she has worked closely with Debra A. Pedrow, author of “Aunt Debra and My Favorite Poster Things”. Ms. Pedrow has developed a school and library based program where she visits dressed as the storybook character, Aunt Debra. In 2006, Deborah worked with Debra Pedro to publish “Aunt Debra and the Snack’N String”.
Deborah has expanded the focus of Gladstone Publishing Services, from just children’s books, to offer consulting services to first-time writers of all genre. Through the published works it is her vision and goal to establish excellent books that can provide content for programs and workshops in schools, churches and outreach ministries such a prison ministries. She is also working with screen and play writers to get their work on stage and screen.
