footprints in the snow
i have my ticket
and i trek to the symphony
we had a Snow Fall
this Fall
this Autumn Season
and
somewhere in the Cosmic Grandness
there is a reason
perhaps it was for this poem
perhaps it was for me to attend
the orchestrated demonstration
of nature
and i listened
as the glistening wonder of life
played a tune
just for me
just for you
the Sun was veiled
behind a misted sky
and the Snow was beginning to melt
and i felt something
which called for me to be still
so i willed my self
motionless
but motion yet prevailed
about me
i heard the sound of the drippings
and the leaves were singing
in what may have been
a discordant accordance
the Wind, my Brother took a seat
as well
for at some time to come
he will go and “Tell it
on the Mountain”
and fountains of life
will be rejuvenated
and give life to the expectant young
amongst us
a most well balanced trust
there were footprints in the snow
and you know
i had to go
attend the show
of nature
in her grand expression
of life
