Thou Art
My Father comes to me
and He gives me the Gift of Breath
and He says “ Son”
I give you the breath of life
what will you give me in return
i pretend i do not hear Him
My Father Comes to me
and He brings to me the Gift of Sight
and He says “ Son”
I give Vision to you that you may see
what will you give me in return
i pretend i do not see Him
My Father Comes to me
and He touches my hands
and He says “ Son”
this I give this to you that you may feel
what will you give me in return
i pretend i that i can not feel Him
My Father Comes to me
and He brings to me the Gift of taste
and He says “ Son”
I give this to you that you may taste of life’s sweetness
what will you give me in return
i pretend that i am not hungry
My Father Comes to me
and He whispers in my ear
and He says “ Son”
I give to you that you may hear my instruction
what will you give me in return
i pretend that i am deaf
My Father Comes to me
and He brings to me the Gift of Love
and He says “ Son”
this I give to you that you may know embrace
what will you give me in return
i pretend that i am strong
My Father Comes to me
and He brings to me the Gift of Laughter
and He says “ Son”
this I give to you that you may know Joy
what will you give me in return
i pretend i that i am not His child
My Father Comes to me
and He brings to me the Gift of Understanding
and He says “ Son”
this I give to you that you may not be troubled
what will you give me in return
and i pretend that i am wise unto my self
My Father Comes to me
and He brings to me the Gift Word
and He says “ Son”
this I give to you that you may speak of beauty
what will you give me in return
and i pretend that i am a Poet
My Father Comes to me
and He brings to me the Gift of Truth
and He says “ Son”
this I give to you that you come to “KNOW”
what will you give me in return
and i pretend that i am
My Father Comes to me
and He brings to me the Gift of Presence
and He says “ Son”
this I give to you that you for you are mine
what will you give me in return
and i pretend that the world does not exist
and i say Father
i give you that which i am
my Consciousness
that Thou Art my Father
