concocted tunes of anguish

just to have something to cry about

but who is listening

the guest at your pity party

you call your life

gather around

to poke fun

at those who have a life

beyond the deluded textures

of make believe

gathering paper

making their lists

is your name on the guest roster

like you normally do

all your dirty laundry

and let the world know

don’t have a corner on the market

of foolishness
