born on the Fourth of July
2 days before her birthday
she gained her independence
yes, she was liberated
from having to carry a body around
her Soul was set free
from the toils
and the snare
the worries
and the cares
that life often affords one
here
many people were not too happy
about the idea
of her crossing over
but our anger
and our grief
offered no respite
no relief
and even we
abandoned our beliefs
that she was going
to a better place
how could we face
life without her ?
well i guess we will continue
to find out
with out a doubt
we will have to somehow
make it through
cause she was through
fighting through
this life
