just me - Inner Child

just me

here i sit
embedded in a place
alone in contemplation
reflecting
upon past paths
circumstances
experiences
lessons life has presented
at least the ones i can remember

funny the twists and turns
the road we have traveled
offered to us
the challenges we endured
and still here we are

i look back
at the warm times
and those which are harsh
which offered invaluable lessons
and there are times
i choose to forget

but overall life’s experiences
has enriched me
with
tolerance . . .
where understanding failed
patience . . .
where frustrations were the rue of the day
but most of all
love . . .
where there was no other options

perhaps to learn to love
in spite of . . .
is the greatest treasure of all
Love seems to be
the quintessential path
to becoming
that which Soul has always called for

and the more i reflect
with a certain suspect
as to where this road may lead
i do know
this is not a journey i will survive
without compassion and love
which is the passion of
who i am

yes love is that defining principle
of all i say is grande and good
and should i check out
of this Hotel today
my stay here
is endeared in reverence
for i have touched
tasted
and been blessed in an eccentric sense
to have wasted love
and the opportunities
it has always
brought into my life

through my wilderness
seeking my clarity
and perhaps
defining what parity truly means
i have stumbled
lost my way
many a day

and as i consider this forward path
i survey all i have learned
and i realize
it matters much not
for the Road is the Road
and it’s purpose
is to be traveled
either blindly
or not

so i look in
and inspect my light
polish its lens
check the wick
and i am certified
and will not be denied
the destination i seek

for the meek may inherit this world
but i am a warrior
i am here to herald in a new way
that some day
my children will say
AMEN
That’s my Father
My Dad

so i am prepared
my friend
to defend their birthright
and the honor of my soul
and yours as well

as i sit here
once again
embedded in a place
alone in contemplation
reflecting
upon past paths
circumstances
experiences
lessons life has presented
at least the ones i can remember
that i may go forward

just me

So Beautiful. That is what we do when we get older. Try to share with our Children.

Many Blessings

Hello Dear Joyce . . . yes i agree with you . . . the most important thing we can do is hopefully leave the world better than what we inherited . . . not doing real good right now are we . . . but we are working on it . . . all love
