i come to you

i come to you

i have been searching for you for aeons
and your resonance has glowed within my soul
i have followed the flame
and the glow of your light
has directed me
through the presence of night

i come to you

sweet communion
was the order of the day
all he longed for was peace
a place where he may lay his head
and rest

he drew his sword for battle
and though he sought
to vanquish the enemy of the land
the enemy within
was the Demon
he wished to slay
this day

he saw no other alternative
but to fight to his death
to give his life
to the higher order
of defending all that he loved

yes he drew his sword
in accord
to a warriors duty
and honor

the odds were against
that any
of his comrades
would survive
he liked those odds
for finally
he would be liberated
from the anguish
of being separated
all these aeons
from that which he needed
the other half of his soul

i come to you

it was so many life times ago
he could vaguely remember
when she was banished
vanquished
from the court
for having his child

yes, they had defiled
the established dictums
the rules of order
the modicum of behavior
for she was beneath his stature
he was of sovereign blood

i come to you

it was beginning
to come back to him now
resonant memory
like the sun
shimmering upon the lake that day
when she taught him the way
and revealed the path
of a higher order
where borders
and restraints
to ones passions
no longer appeared
as real

he was feeling something
new
and he knew
that this journey
she led him on
was more than a simple quest
more than a test
more than but another conquest

it was a liberation of sorts
and the only retort
he could muster
was acquiescence
to the lesson before him

as the flower of a lighted consciousness
began to unfold
her flesh told stories
of bliss
found in but a single kiss
upon her lips
where his sensualities
became alive

and now in remembrance
of that which transpired
so many lifetimes before
here he stood at the door
of a weariness of soul
and no thought any longer
could cajole him
to wish to proceed
in his search
for this flame
his twin
who made him whole

yes he was tired
yet spirited
as a warrior should always be

and as he drew his sword
from its sheath
for the final time
there was a glimmer of light
reflections from the Sun
a glint
that immobilized
this fleeting introspective moment

and he remembered
the shimmering
upon the lake that day
where he lay beside her
when she taught him the way
the path to a higher order
where borders
and restraints
to ones passions
no longer appeared
as real

and in solemn silence
he spoke these words

i have been searching for you for aeons
and your resonance has glowed within my soul
i have followed the flame
and the glow of your light
has directed me
through the presence of night

and this day
i come to you
