does not make the words true

because one teaches

that which one was taught

by someone who also was taught

does not make the teachings true

because one studies

and is diligent in their seeking

and commits their life

to the way they have accepted

as prescribed by their convictions

their beliefs

does not make their way

“the Way”

to truth

man apparently needs to believe

and that which they choose to believe

must be a truth for them

for their very existence

depends upon these aphorisms

of truth

will we come to know

that which binds all men ?

will we realize the “one”

that is not moved

persuaded

by he who shouts

in the wilderness

of our consciousness ?

does thinking for one's self

independently

exist

in any realm

who is at the helm of my ship ?

who is my Capitan ?

and who chose them to be so ?

why ?
