the elliptic cryptic
the elliptic cryptic
insipidly licked it
then equipped it to openly speak
i speak of his lips
and the witty–some quips
that comes from the mind of the weak
words were his weapons
and weapons were words
and he used them to banish the bleak
discerning and clever
a powerful lever
to cut to mend to tweak
then came the day
while along the way
a mirror on the road he found
on the road side
there where it lied
his reflection upon the ground
soapbox in hand
illicit demands
so he put his soapbox down
a soul filled pause
a new found cause
he then became the clown
for in shining glass
he saw the mad ass
that he over the years had become
with a swig from the flask
he took on the task
with courage to alter his sum
and now to this day
he walks his own way
and cares not who should follow
for what he had learned
that words not discerned
are empty and dead and shallow
the elliptic cryptic
