we have come to reconcile

we have come to reconcile

we have come to reconcile
to make that which is crooked
straight
we bring light
that shadows may live no more
for we are the Children of Source

we speak words
of power
words
of love
words
that live
eternally
in all souls

it is my breath
upon which butterflies dance
it is my vision
that raised mountains before thee
that you may discover your strength
to climb
to endure
to achieve
that you may come to know
the joy of celebrating
self
as found in me
in thee
in the ”i”
that sees all things
as they are
thine

we have come
to bring you that joy
that comes with self truth
that you are powerful
beyond all that is seen
for like that of all wonder
what is unseen
and yet to be declared
can not be
so we have come to reconcile

to what end

to what end

to what end do we live my friend
if we explore not this containment ?

we refrain from approach
of the unknown
though we have sown
the seeds for the coming of it’s fruits

and the mighty shadow warriors
of Fear
and their Legions of Doubt
circles your little wagons
and we cower
each day
each minute
every waking hour
as if our Dreams may be realized
where there is no light

i too crave sleep
for my own reason attacks it’s self
day after day
and the sense it seeks
is perhaps a self . .
a “Self” contained one
at least that is what they say

this journey seems vaguely familiar
très familier
for i have seen these Sign Posts before
and that elusive door
to the light of understanding

i believe
i am he
unfortunately
selfishly
i am He
just for me

Saints and Preachers and Teachers
and all sorts of Creatures
are being featured
in their own Movies
yet they wish to
greet you
seat you
saying
they can complete you
if you watch their show
theirs presentations
of their interpretations
of the «IS» ness of life

well am not i . . «I» an «IS»
too ?
Was not i too encoded ?
downloaded with the same compellations
as you ?
happiness
fulfillment
clarity
surety
and love

ok .. ok. .
i will stay for a while
and check out your style
if that certifies
or dignifies
this false sense
of worthiness you
vie for
are willing to die for

death may not be all that bad
though sad for all the ones
who have not travelled
in their «Now» ness
those who allow this mess
of Empiracy to rule the nest

and in all this circumspective thought
when we get home
and empty our baggage
we will see
explicitly
that we bougth so much junk
that we did not need

so to the closet we go
again
put the junk in the trunk
my friend
and label it Karma
that is our Dharma

and wash the hands and fingers
of resonant memory
and get back in line
and let’s do it all over
again
and again
and again
until that time of illusion
when
we realize
that we are
have always been
right where we are
HERE !

to what end ?

for i can not wait until tomorrow

for i can not wait until tomorrow

marching with deliberation
across the landscapes of humanity
the giants of men
cared not where they trod

the sod and soil of mankind
filled with tears
of anguish
the blood
of our children
shed
with no consciousness
of consequence
as to where they placed their feet

the cry came from the legions
of families
communities
nations
the peoples

the steeples
where bells once hung
and rung
to call forth
man’s greater spiritual resonance
have tumbled
and become silent

the utter defilement
of all that was once held sacred
has been cast aside
as worthless
and errant
and of no validity
in the cities
and the country sides

we think we must hide
find a corner
like little Jack Horner
and eat some pie
again

friends became estranged
families dysfunctional
for the challenges
to discourse
no longer made sense

and in defense
of this time upon us
i say good
we should be threatened
then perhaps we will garner
our swords and shield
and cease to yield
to the throes
of this world as it may be

and i know we all see
that change
to this visual complexity
we have allowed
must come

and we all know
that our sum
is greater
than what we have been told
but have we sold out ?

hoping the lies
would soothe us
smooth us
prove us
thus liberating us
from our demons
who ejaculate
their semen
upon the faces of our children

and again and again
i ask
which is the task
we, Man must undertake
to cease the marching
upon the landscapes
the trampling of our gardens
of dreams
and hopes
and visions
for a better NOW

i ask now
for i can not wait until tomorrow

if i the Poet

if i the Poet

i the Poet
declare my words
to be null and void
Please do not become annoyed
with what i am about to say
this day

if i the Poet
speak not words of Life
to alleviate your strife
then i must ask
why do i undertake this task

if my words
offer you no solace
from the day to day embrace
of your anguish
and the language
of indifference
i ask
have my words
made a difference

there are Poems
that dislace our lives
from that place
of the shuck and jives
and the cruel pokes
in the sides
of our suffering

there are poems
that provide a buffering
to this pain
of this inane plane
we call reality

there are poems
that offer contextual surrealities
where we may escape
all good
for i am trying
to get away my self
most times
from my self
and all the drama
i allow
accept
create
and dream of

there are poems of love
and the smiles
of little children
i think they are all beautiful
for that Poet
has been dutiful
with their pen
again and again

there are poems of light
that enlighten us
to believe
there is something grand

and there are poems
that help us understand
the complexities
of our humanity
and the line of insanity
that threatens us all

there are poems of joy
and entertainment
that allows us out
of our containment
of the doldrum
ho hum
of our boredoms

i celebrate all the poets
and their attempt
to breathe life
into the words
they exact

and as a matter of fact
even if you are not a poet
i celebrate you
in all you do
in living
and giving

and as i was saying
if my words are dead
they are just words
from my head
and they sink like lead
for they have not fed
anything meaningful

so let me say this
for my own edification
my own education
to my own elation
and supplications

if i the Poet
breath not life
into my words
to enhance you
then i the Poet
declare my words
to be dead

her name is Ruth

her name is Ruth

there have been many a Ruth
upon this journey
Women
who gave of them selves
to the higher order
of service
in love

how blessed we are
to have crossed paths
with those who know
of the Divine
for it lives within
their hearts

no question
nor complaint
just the dedicated
self sacrificial
giving
to the living
that which is held
in the heart of God

and i nod my head
this day
in these words of examination
acknowledgement
and reverence
for their presence
and that is my present
they have presented me
and i give it back
without question

my Mother was named Ruth
my Sister is named Ruth
my Wife was named Ruth
my Daughters are all named Ruth
you my Friend . . .
i name you Ruth

for this day
i see your glow
and i wish you to know
that we all do
know your truth
love

so i say this to you
to all

i call you Ruth
in honor of you
of She . . .

her name is Ruth

i shall live forever . . . a gift from the inner child

i shall live forever
a gift from the inner child

i remember
when i was a kid
i used to innocently
knowingly
proudly boast
“i am going to live forever”

i ask my self
when did i stop believing that ?

the world has taught me death
and i am thankful
for now i understand
Death is man’s metaphor
for birth

what the Christ said
stays in my head
“i lay down my life
that i may pick it up again
for i have the power to do so”
so i do so
while glowing
in the knowing
that “IS”-ness
is eternal
as is this “NOW”

and some how
some way
i must let go of my focus
on the potential sorrow
of the morrow
and the ways
of past days
and open this singular eye
and cease to deny
that death is an ultimate end
which the finite illusions
of the world
defends

let us speak life
with a rife
of conciliations
with unmovable
affiliations
in consciousness
to truth
that we are eternal beings
regardless
of what we are seeing

and this is my contribution

i shall live forever
a gift from the inner child
