Live

a shadow crossed my brow

and in that fleeting moment

i looked upon the face of death

and He was snickering

and whispering to me

“i am going to get your ass sooner or later”

i smiled back at Him

and called Him an asshole

for i had no fear of his attempts

to haunt my life expression

anymore

i have laid down my life

in the hands of Fate

more times than i can remember

and Fate kept kicking my ass back

to finish what i have come to do
