let me kiss your soul

let me kiss your soul

being broken himself
he mistakenly
thought his soul’s calling
was to make others like him

not funny how people
who are in need of repair themselves
go about destroying
the beauty
and potential
about them

i am not amused
by your Peacock-iness
nor any of that other mess
or drama
you always create
and ask of others
to ingest
digest

and still
the best of who you can be
is not accountable
at the moment

won’t you take this moment
and consider the footprints
you leave in my garden
and that of others
as well as your own

let us remove our garments,
unmask our face
and cast aside the scripts we have learned
come sit with me
and let us eat some sweet fruit
as we ponder the possibilities
of the bliss
of what may be

let me kiss your soul
